Wire and Cable Industry Suppliers Association® (WCISA®), Akron, OH, USA, announced its annual scholarship award winners for 2026. The scholarship recipients are associated with WCISA member companies either as employees or interns or as children or grandchildren of employees.
The 2026 WCISA High School Graduate Scholarship winners are Layla Astorquiza, Roteq Machinery, $1,000; Brian Freitas, Chase Corporation, $750; and Samuel Chiungos, Chase Corporation, $500.
The 2026 WCISA Employee & Intern Scholarship winners are Amir Azimi, Roteq Machinery, $1,000; Ava Barton, Chase Corporation, $750; Vincent Diverdi, Thermoplastic Engineering Corporation (TEC), $500; and Amin Farahani, Roteq Machinery, $500.
The awards are to be used toward education expenses. The WCISA Board of Directors reviewed all applications and selected the winners. WCISA offers three types of scholarships: the WCISA High School Graduate Scholarship, awarded annually to high school graduates with a parent or grandparent working at a WCISA member company; the WCISA Employee & Intern Scholarship, awarded annually to WCISA company employees and interns; and the WCISA Special Scholarship for extraordinary circumstances, awarded on a case-by-case basis.
The deadline to apply for the next round of WCISA scholarships is July 31, 2027.
